About Tomi Sushi & Seafood Buffet

Tomi Sushi & Seafood Buffet is a chinese buffet in San Jose, California. It is listed at 2200 Eastridge Loop #2074, San Jose, CA 95122, which places it among the local businesses of San Jose that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by. Besides its main category, the business also describes itself as sushi restaurant, seafood restaurant, so it may cover more than the name suggests.

In cities with a Chinatown, weekend mornings bring dim sum carts or order sheets, and lines form early at the most popular spots in San Jose; walk-ins are standard and reservations are uncommon outside large banquet restaurants. Regional labels matter: Cantonese, Sichuan, Hunan, Shanghainese and Taiwanese kitchens cook very differently, so a restaurant's stated region is a better guide to the food than the word "Chinese" alone. Some smaller restaurants in California are BYOB with no corkage fee; call ahead to confirm. A tip of 15-20% is customary for table service but not expected at counter-order takeout. Spice level, MSG and allergen questions are normal to ask before ordering, and most kitchens are happy to leave an ingredient out or tone down the heat if you mention it when ordering rather than after the food arrives.

The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. Typical hours are 11 am–2:30 pm. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. The listed phone number is (408) 239-1000. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, tomibuffet.com.

San Jose is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around San Jose is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across California's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

We went for a birthday lunch on Sunday at 1145am and got seated right away. Food was good especially their tofo, sushi selection and crispy pork belly and chicken wings. Their soup selection is great. Its a good spot when you want variety of asian food. A must try if your in the East San Jose area.

A very filling and delicious ayce buffet! They have an incredible variety of dishes to choose from, such as fresh crab, shrimp, sushi rolls, nigiri, hot soups, noodle soup with wontons, and hot dishes like char siu, roasted chicken, fish, stir-fried vegetables, crawfish, fried rice, tempura, and dim sum! The dessert selection is just as impressive. They have delicious pudding, ice cream, and even freshly made crepes! There are so many options that I honestly couldn’t decide what to eat, I just kept going back to try a little bit of everything they offered. And the best part is the price! I visited for Sunday lunch, and they’re currently running a discount, so it was only $28 per person. Such an amazing deal!

Went on a Sunday from Concord (6/28/26)around 5:30 pm for the Dinner because we read that they serve AYCE Lobster with the other regular items . Notice a short line forming for the Lobster and by the time I got to pick my lobster it was all gone (happened more than once)...Note ** The lobster is served with blue crab not separately... Remnants of Loster always comes out mixed with the crab And if you're not one of the first ones in line you will Not get any lobster . Now let's talk about the quality of the lobster . It is completely old or been dead for a while and The quality is definitely Below substandard , in my opinion the most Horrible Lobster I've ever eaten . Even the crab that was served with it is mushy and obviously old as well . The salt and pepper prawns next to it was also mushy .. I do not understand this at all . So definitely My conclusion would be old seafood that's either been frozen too long or a very bad vendor . Nevertheless the other choices Weren't great either but however the oysters did come out fresh and they were surprisingly delightful along with the Peking duck with a few sushi selections . Overall far way below average for a $40 price tag that they do

Avoid Tomi Sushi & Seafood Buffet if you care about honesty, service, or basic food quality. I brought my mom here for her birthday, and it turned into a complete disaster. Before seating, I clearly told the host we had two separate groups (5 people and 3 arriving later). The second group was seated at a separate table next to us, which was fine—until the host came over and argued, claiming we were not allowed to sit near each other. There is no posted policy stating this. Then came the billing issues: Charged for 3 cooks when we only ordered 1 Combined our bills without consent to force an automatic gratuity as a party of 8 When I asked the cashier to correct the bill, she refused completely—no explanation, no attempt to fix it. I told her I would still pay but would leave a very bad review. She didn’t care and charged my card anyway. When I reviewed the receipt at home, the gratuity was actually over 20%, not the stated 18%. The food made it worse: Fried crab tasted old Hot and sour soup was mostly vinegar Fried fish was dry Oysters still had sand For ~$37 per person, this is unacceptable. This was supposed to be a special birthday for my mom. Instead, it was filled with

Maybe not the absolute ultimate in seafood buffets, but pretty darned close for the price! Oysters on the half shell is a big draw for me. A dozen fresh oysters at most oyster bars will run you $30-40, so I get my value after having the couple dozen that I Wolf down. The sushi is quite fair, you don't even have to stuff yourself with sushi rice, they have several straight sashimi selections, including tuna, salmon and more. If you prefer fully cooked, there's plenty to chose from, including roast pork, Peking style duck, and many varieties of your typical Chinese dishes. They keep the crabs (snow and blue) available in fried and steamed. Really is a seafood lover's delight! About $35 per person.
